KUCHING: Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, arrived at Kuching International Airport (KIA) pn Saturday evening for a four-day official visit to the city.
Her Majesty, who was accompanied by Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah ‘Athiyatullah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and her delegation, touched down at 9.30 pm and was welcomed by Datin Dayang Halimah Abang Paul, wife of the Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak.
Also present to greet Her Majesty were Datin Patinggi Puan Sri Datuk Wira Lorna Enan Muloon Chan, wife of the former Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, and Adviser to Old Kuching Smart Heritage (OKSHE), Datu Sabariah Putit.
On Sunday, Tunku Azizah is scheduled to officiate the ‘Sense of Malaysia’ event at KIA,l before attending the launch of the Borneo International Textile Festival (BITF) 2025 at the Borneo Cultures Museum in the afternoon.
In the evening, Her Majesty is expected to grace the BITF 2025 launch ceremony at the Pullman Hotel Kuching.
On Monday morning, the Tengku Ampuan Pahang is scheduled to attend the BITF 2025 Seminar at the Pullman Hotel Kuching before visiting the Juma’ani Pavilion in the afternoon in conjunction with the third anniversary of the Bornean fashion hub.
Her Majesty and her entourage are expected to depart for Pahang Darul Makmur on Tuesday.-UKASnews
