KUCHING: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg received a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Miri Malay Welfare Trust Board (LAKMM) led by the new line-up of Trustees for the session of 2025 to 2028 at the Satria Pertiwi Complex, here, on Friday.

The visit was held to introduce the new line-up of LAKMM leadership as well as discuss current developments in the organisation and development plans formulated for the benefit of the Muslim community in Miri Division.

During the meeting, the LAKMM delegation also detailed the roles and responsibilities of the Trustees in strengthening the welfare, education and socio-economic development agenda of the local community.

The LAKMM delegation also shared their aspiration to improve the effectiveness of programme delivery through a more structured and high-impact approach.

Also present were LAKMM Chairman Datuk Abdilllah Abdul Rahim, LAKMM Deputy Chairman Kabong Assemblyman Dato Mohd Chee Kadir, LAKMM Secretary Councillor Ariffin Mohamad and LAKMM Treasurer Julaihi Mohamad. -UKASnews
