KUCHING: Prayers and Tahlil recitations accompanied the Tahlil Ceremony of the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma'ani Tun Tuanku Bujang at the Satria Pertiwi Complex Surau, here, on Friday.

The ceremony organised by the members of the Sarawak Malaysian Government Members Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSAK) Women, which was also attended by the daughter of the late Puan Sri Juma’ani, Dayang Norjihan Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari.

Also present was Sarawak MAKSAK Women Chairwoman Dato Baduyah Bujang as well as members of Sarawak MAKSAK Women, civil servants, immediate family members and other guests.

The programme began with a tazkirah session delivered by Ustazah Ngatijem Misau entitled ‘Hijrah Kecil Setiap Hari, Perubahan Besar di Sisi Allah’ before continuing with the Yassin and Tahlil recitations.

The late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma'ani, who is also the wife of the Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg breathed her last on 23 June 2025 at the Normah Medical Centre and was laid to rest at the Tanah Perkuburan Islam Semariang. -UKASnews
