SADA Steering Committee Meeting Focuses On Accelerating Project Implementation
SRI AMAN: The Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) has placed strong emphasis on expediting project implementation and resolving outstanding matters involving the respective implementing agencies.
Its Chairperson Dato Sri Rohani Abdul Karim revealed that progress remains slow, with only 10 of SADA’s 80 development projects completed so far.
During the Steering Committee Meeting No. 3/2025 held recently, she explained that only a total of 61 are still at the planning stage, while nine have moved into the implementation phase.
Dato Sri Rohani underscored the importance of obtaining comprehensive progress updates from all agencies, noting that they must clearly outline any constraints faced and propose practical measures to keep each project on schedule.
She emphasised that completing project design processes by 2026 would significantly support smoother execution in the following years.
She also noted that the SADA office is expected to relocate to the former Sri Aman Resident’s Office building by September 2026, expressing hope that the necessary upgrading works can be accelerated with support from the Public Works Department (JKR).
The meeting was also attended by Bukit Begunan Assemblyman Datuk Mong Dagang, Lingga Assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, and SADA Deputy Chairman Datuk Amar Jaul Samion. -UKASnews
