LCDA Bowling Fiesta With Media Strengthens Strategic Cooperation
KUCHING: The Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) organised the LCDA Bowling Fiesta with the Media 2025 as an initiative to strengthen strategic cooperative ties between the agency and its media partners.
The event was held at Megalanes Sarawak, Batu Kawa, here on Saturday.
Chief Executive Officer of Puncak Borneo Development Sdn Bhd (PBDSB), Zuraimy Kushaili, who represented the LCDA General Manager, said the programme served as a two-way interaction platform in a relaxed setting, aimed at fostering closer professional relationships between LCDA officers and media practitioners.
He said that close cooperation between LCDA and the media is highly significant in ensuring that accurate, authentic and factual information is conveyed to the public, particularly in an era where information spreads at a very rapid pace.
“As we are all aware, information now moves extremely fast. Sometimes, before we have even issued a media statement, the information has already reached the public.
“However, what is important for us is that through strong and close cooperation with our media partners, we believe that the information delivered must be accurate and achieve its intended purpose.
“More importantly, we do not want unverified, inaccurate or incorrect information to be disseminated,” he said when met by reporters during the programme.
According to Zuraimy, the event was attended by approximately 70 to 80 participants, comprising representatives from several major media agencies, including the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), the Kuching Division Journalists Association (KDJA), Sarawak Media Group (SMG), other media organisations, as well as LCDA personnel.
Also present was LCDA Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs, Saiful Bahari Amra Ramly. -UKASnews
