HDC Denies Allegations Regarding Sri Pertiwi Housing Programme
KUCHING: The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has denied all allegations linking the corporation to issues concerning the distribution, rental, or misuse of houses under the Sri Pertiwi Housing Programme currently circulating on social media.
In an official statement released on Monday, the HDC emphasised that these claims are untrue, baseless, and could mislead the general public.
The HDC clarified that the Sri Pertiwi Housing Programme is a Sarawak Government affordable housing initiative targeted at middle-income earners with a household income of between RM4,000 and RM10,000 per month.
According to the HDC, the programme is open to development by both the public and private sectors, subject to the policies and approval of the Sarawak Government.
To date, Sri Pertiwi projects involving the HDC through strategic partnerships are still under construction.
Consequently, the HDC is taking the spread of unverified information very seriously and urges the public to stop and refrain from further circulating such claims.
Official information should only be obtained by contacting the HDC via telephone on 082-444381 or through their website at hdc.sarawak.gov.my.—UKASnews
