KUCHING: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi received a courtesy visit from the Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak at Astana Negeri Sarawak on Thursday.
Joining the visit were Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan who also serves as a Board of Trustees Member, alongside Deputy Chairmen Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Alfred Jabu Numpang and Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam, Board Member Dato Sri Fong Joo Chung and other distinguished guests.
The meeting served as a platform for deliberations on the role and future direction of the foundation, encompassing efforts to reinforce the traditional heritage of Sarawak’s various ethnic groups as well as initiatives aimed at preserving indigenous cultures that underpin the identity of its multicultural society.
Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar also shared insights from his experience, offering guidance on how the Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak can continue to strengthen its role as a platform for promoting unity and harmony among communities.
The visit further reflects the close collaboration between institutions and the state leadership in strengthening an inclusive and sustainable development agenda for the well being of the locals. -UKASnews
