Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Graces SMK Taman Melati Graduation & Alumni Association Launch
KUALA LUMPUR: Wife of the Sarawak Governor, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi graced the SMK Taman Melati Graduation Ceremony and Alumni Association Launch, held at the Tun Hussein Onn Hall, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) on Saturday.
The event was held to recognise the achievements of students completing their secondary education and to serve as the official platform for launching the SMK Taman Melati Alumni Association, aimed at strengthening the support network between the school and its former pupils.
Upon her arrival, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah was received by SMK Taman Melati Principal, Dzaizatul Shikin Madrahim, Chairman of the Parents and Teachers Association, Shahrizal Aman, and SMK Taman Melati Alumni President Associate Professor Dr Mohd Shahnawi Mohmad Fairuz.
In her officiating speech, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah extended her heartiest congratulations to the graduates for successfully completing a vital phase of their educational journey.
She also expressed her appreciation to the school administration, teachers, and parents for their continuous commitment and dedication to guiding and shaping the students' character.
"A graduation ceremony is not merely a symbol of academic achievement; it reflects the perseverance, discipline, and resilience of students in facing the challenges of learning," she remarked.
Touching on the launch of the SMK Taman Melati Alumni, Toh Puan Fauziah expressed her confidence that a well-organised and active alumni network would become a strategic asset for the school.
She noted that former students can provide valuable expertise, experience, and ongoing mentorship to future generations of pupils.
According to her, the success of an educational institution is not measured solely by current academic results, but is also reinforced by the lasting relationships maintained between the school, its alumni, and the wider community.
