School Aid Delivery Under Sejahtera MADANI Supports Students
PANTU: The delivery of the much needed school supplies under the 'Sejahtera MADANI' Initiative has strengthened efforts to support students and ease the financial burden on families in the Pantu District, following a handover session held at the Pantu District Office on Tuesday.
Held at the meeting room of the Pantu District Office, the session involved the handover of school equipment supplied by Syarikat Hari-Hari under the Education Scope of the Sejahtera MADANI Initiative, organised by the Sarawak State Development Office under the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (ICU JPM Sarawak).
Pantu District Officer Raca Mulong officiated the handover, while ICU JPM Sarawak (Sri Aman Zone) was represented by Senior Assistant Director Nor Izzah Marzuki.
The programme forms part of the national Malaysia MADANI People’s Wellbeing Initiative and serves as a follow-up to the MADANI Customer Day Outreach Programme previously held at Dewan Suarah Sri Aman, aimed at ensuring assistance reaches eligible recipients through a coordinated one-stop approach.
A total of 15 recipients from the Pantu District benefited from the initiative, with eight receiving reimbursements of RM500 each for self-purchased school items at nearby Syarikat Hari-Hari outlets, while the remaining seven opted for direct orders of school supplies arranged through the programme.
The initiative is expected to help ease household expenses while ensuring that students are better equipped for the school session, enabling them to learn in a more comfortable and supportive environment.
The Pantu District Office expressed its appreciation to all agencies and individuals involved for their cooperation and commitment, adding that similar initiatives are hoped to continue in support of community welfare and educational needs in the district.
Also present were officers from ICU JPM Sarawak (Sri Aman Zone), the Development Section of the Pantu District Office, and MySTEP personnel. -UKASnews
