Dzulkornain Masron Appointed New MYSED Permanent Secretary
KUCHING: The Ministry for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurial Development (MYSED) held a handover session from the former Permanent Secretary Morshidi Fredrick to the new Permanent Secretary Dzulkornain Masron, at the English Tea House on Tuesday.
This handover ceremony marked the transition of leadership of the ministry's top management in line with efforts to strengthen governance, policy continuity and the continuity of the national youth, sports and entrepreneurship development agenda.
In his speech, Morshidi expressed his highest appreciation and gratitude to all ministry staff for the cooperation, commitment and support given throughout his service.
He also expressed confidence that the new leadership will continue to excel and strengthen the implementation of the ministry's programmes and initiatives for the benefit of the people.
Meanwhile, Dzulkornain in his acceptance speech expressed his appreciation for the trust given and his commitment to continue existing policies and strategic plans.
He also stressed his aspiration to work closely with all levels of the ministry and stakeholders to empower youth development, develop the sports sector and boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem, especially among the youth.
MYSED Minister Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah in his speech also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Morshidi for his service, contribution and leadership throughout his tenure as Permanent Secretary.
He also congratulated Dzulkornain on the appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to continue the ministry’s agenda and aspirations.
The ceremony was witnessed by Dato Sri Abdul Karim and MYSED Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat.
Also present were MYSED senior officials, divisional MYSED office supervisors, civic centre managers and youth camp principals.
The ceremony concluded with a presentation of official documents and a photo session as a symbolic transfer of responsibility and trust. -UKASnews
