Datuk Amar Dr Sim Engages Traders & Visitors At Sibu Central Market
SIBU: Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian carried out a walkabout programme to engage with traders and visitors at Sibu Central Market on Thursday.
He was accompanied by Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government and Pelawan Assemblyman Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee as well as Bukit Assek Assemblyman Joseph Chieng Jin Ek.
The programme was held to connect with traders and members of the public at the market, while extending Chinese New Year greetings to those celebrating the festive occasion.
The Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) President also spent time having breakfast with SUPP members in Sibu at the Lai Heung Cafe stall, where the session was used to strengthen ties and exchange views in a relaxed atmosphere.
Meanwhile, visitors also took the opportunity to interact with the elected representatives and pose for commemorative photographs as a gesture of goodwill and closeness.
Also participating in the walkabout programme were Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) Chairman Clarence Ting and SUPP Central Youth Chief Counsellor Kevin Lau Kor Jie. -UKASnews
