RTP Projects Enhance Basic Needs, Community Wellbeing In Tatau
TATAU: The Sarawak Government continues to reinforce rural development through the implementation of Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects, with several completed projects for the Kakus Constituency handed over and inspected.
A site visit on Sunday was led by Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai, involving several major projects that have been completed and implemented around the Tatau District, thus reflecting the state government’s commitment to addressing basic needs and improving the wellbeing of rural communities.
Among the projects inspected was the construction of Rumah Enjan Gos Bridge which is expected to have a significant impact on local residents, particularly by improving connectivity, safety and the smooth flow of daily movement within the longhouse community.
The next visit involved the upgrading project for Jalan Rumah Jelian Guru, Muput, which has been fully completed and is seen as enhancing comfort and safety for road users while improving access for residents to surrounding areas.
The delegation also inspected the completed car park construction project at the Tatau District Office, aimed at improving public facilities and enhancing convenience for visitors and administrative operations at the office.
Also present during the visit were Tatau District Officer Calvin Ligong and representative from the Bintulu Division Public Works Department (JKR) Joseph Tyran. -UKASnews
