SARIKEI: Appointment as a committee member and officer of an Islamic institution is not just an honor, but rather a great responsibility that must be carried out with full dedication and sincerity.
Sarawak Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment and Chairman of the Sarikei Islamic Welfare Trust Board (LAKISRI) Datuk Len Talif Salleh said that every position held must be carried out with full dedication, integrity and wisdom to ensure that Islamic institutions continue to be a platform for the unification of the ummah and a center for the spiritual development and welfare of the Muslim community in Sarikei.
He stressed that leadership in Islamic institutions must be based on the principles of deliberation, transparency and teamwork so that all planning and implementation of programs can provide comprehensive benefits to the community.
“I hope that the LAKISRI Committee Members and the Al-Muttaqin Mosque Committee Members will continue to lead with wisdom, integrity and practice the principle of deliberation in every decision taken.
“Make this institution a platform for the unification of the ummah and a centre for spiritual development and welfare of the Muslim community in Sarikei,” he said when speaking at the Appointment Letter Presentation Ceremony at the Al-Muttaqin Mosque, here, on Friday.
