RM1.668 Million In Land Compensation Disbursed To 41 Recipients For Road Upgrading Project In Betong
BETONG: A total of 41 recipients received 68 cheques totalling RM1,668,346.66 in land compensation for the road upgrading project along Jalan Mara-Jalan Selangking-Ng. Sela-Tanjung Paoh.
The cheques were handed over by Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas during a ceremony held at Rumah Mubok Anak Julie, Tanjung Paoh, here on Friday.
In a statement issued by his office, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah expressed satisfaction with the progress of the 10-kilometre (km) road upgrading project.
“The project is ahead of schedule, currently at 42.3 per cent completion and is expected to be completed in October 2026,” the statement said.
Also present were the Deputy Premier’s wife Datin Amar Dato Doreen Mayang, Betong Member of Parliament Dato Dr Richard Rapu, Political Secretary to the Sarawak Premier Roseline Mapong Sabai, and other guests. -UKASnews
