KUCHING: More than 10,000 people gathered for the Majlis Ramah Mesra Rakyat with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof at the CIDB Convention Centre on Sunday.
The massive turnout reflects strong public confidence in the government's current leadership.
The event, which drew attendees from all walks of life, highlighted the strengthening bond between the administration and the grassroots through a "ground-reaching" approach.
Beyond the festivities, the ceremony provided a vital platform for citizens to voice their views and needs directly to leadership, ensuring national policies remain aligned with local requirements.
During the session, the government’s commitment to inclusive development was underscored, specifically regarding the provision of basic facilities, clean water supply, and the transition toward sustainable energy for the people's welfare.
Also in attendance were local leaders and representatives from various government agencies.
Such programmes are expected to remain a catalyst for unity, supporting Sarawak’s broader aspirations for sustainable and inclusive growth. — UKASnews
