Dato Sri Julaihi Celebrates Aidilfitri In His Hometown
SEBUYAU: Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi, took time to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with the local community in his hometown, Kampung Sebangan.
He began the celebration by performing the Aidilfitri sunat prayer at Masjid Darul Aman Sebangan together with the village residents.
The Syawal morning was described as lively and meaningful as he had the opportunity to meet and mingle with members of the local community in the village where he was born.
Shortly after the prayer, he also joined the Aidilfitri morning reception with the district officer, members of the mosque committee and village residents in the mosque compound, in an atmosphere filled with goodwill and togetherness.
Among those present were Sebuyau District Officer, Ayuradiman Bujang, Chairman of Masjid Darul Aman, Yaman Median, and Sebangan Area Penghulu, Abdul Hamid Zaini.
Continuing the celebration, the Sebuyau Assemblyman later visited his family home in Kampung Sampat Sebangan to see relatives, while at the same time keeping alive the visiting tradition that the local community observes during Aidilfitri each year.
He also took the opportunity to convey his Aidilfitri greetings and best wishes to the wider community, expressing hope that the spirit of unity and harmony will continue to be strengthened among the people of Sarawak. -UKASnews
