Aidilfitri Used To Strengthen Community Networks Across All Levels
SIBU: Aidilfitri visits continue to be utilised as a strategic platform to strengthen community networks and foster closer ties between leaders and the people in the Pelawan constituency.
Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee, said that the approach of going down to the ground through such visits allows for closer interaction while further strengthening relationships with people from various segments of society.
He said the spirit of Aidilfitri should be embraced as an opportunity to bring people closer together and reinforce unity among communities from all walks of life.
The visit began at the residence of the Chairman of Masjid Darul Firdaus, Junaidi Mohamad Mokhtar, before the delegation continued its visit to the home of Pelawan PBB Youth Chief, Abang Mohamad Hafiq Abang Kassim.
The delegation also visited the Chairman of the Construction Committee for the new Masjid Darul Firdaus Apollo Sibu, Hamzah A. Beraan, where discussions touched on the progress of the mosque construction project.
In addition, he also took time to visit the Women’s Chief of the Masjid Darul Firdaus Committee, who is also a representative of the Apollo Deshon Sibu Neighbourhood Watch Area (KRT), Dayang Siti Khaminah Abang Bolhassan.
According to him, visits such as these not only enliven the festive atmosphere, but also serve as an important channel to better understand the real needs of the community at the grassroots level.
He also stressed that close cooperation between leaders and the community is crucial to ensuring that development in the area proceeds smoothly and in an inclusive manner.
