PDRM Reinforces Community Ties To Uphold Public Peace & Order
LIMBANG: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) remains committed to strengthening cooperation with the community to ensure public order and national security are maintained at the highest level.
The community security approach continues to be a primary agenda of the force in its efforts to ensure that all levels of society are able to enjoy a peaceful and secure life with confidence.
Inspector-General of Police Dato Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail said the theme “Police and the Community Are Inseparable”, introduced in 2015, remains relevant as it reflects the close relationship between the police and the public.
“The force will continue to build strong ties with stakeholders to ensure public trust in PDRM remains intact as a key pillar of national security,” he noted in a speech read by Limbang District Police Chief Supt. Parum Niot.
He said this in conjunction with the 219th Police Day Celebration 2026 held in Limbang on Wednesday.
Concurrently, he emphasised that PDRM is progressing towards a more professional and efficient transformation in line with the increasingly complex challenges brought about by the era of digitalisation.
He said every action and decision by the force is guided by high integrity and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to uphold the credibility of the institution.
“Guided by the IGP’s three main focus areas, along with seven strategic directions and 10 transformation agendas, the Sang Saka Biru will continue to strengthen its capabilities as a respected force,” he said.
He added that PDRM stands firmly behind the MADANI Government’s aspirations to uphold the sovereignty of the Rulers and the nation through strategic and constructive initiatives.
In conjunction with the celebration, gratitude was expressed to all members of the force, frontliners, and retired police personnel for their dedication and sacrifices in ensuring the continued security of the nation.
