MPHLG Sarawak Completes Two Delayed Sick Housing Projects In Kuching & Betong
KUCHING: The Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government (MPHLG) Sarawak announced the completion of two previously delayed sick housing projects in Kuching and Betong, bringing relief to affected homebuyers.
The projects, Taman Fitriyyah and Botanic Garden 2, saw a two-year delay from their original completion dates.
Taman Fitriyyah in Kuching, developed by Twin Revenue Sdn Bhd comprises 54 terrace houses and received its Occupation Permit (OP) on March 18, 2026.
Meanwhile, Botanic Garden 2 in Betong which was developed by Green Avenue Resources Sdn Bhd also involves 54 units with Phase 1 obtaining its OP on February 5, 2026 after delays affecting 12 buyers.
The Occupation Permit was handed over to the developer by a representative of Kuching South City Comission (DBKU), witnessed by MPHLG officers and house buyers, marking a significant milestone for the project, here on Thursday.
MPHLG said the projects were completed through close coordination, inter-agency engagement and site monitoring to resolve outstanding issues.
The ministry also expressed appreciation to house purchasers for their patience, understanding and cooperation, reaffirming the Sarawak Government’s commitment to safeguarding the residents’ housing interests. -UKASnews
