KUCHING: Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Secretary Nur Azhar Bujang was officially sworn in following his reappointment at a ceremony held at the Sarawak DUN Complex here on Monday.

The oath-taking ceremony was administered before Sarawak DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar, after which he signed the letter of appointment as Sarawak DUN Secretary.

Also present were Sarawak DUN Deputy Speaker Dato Idris Buang, Senior Counsel at the Sarawak Attorney General’s Chambers Dr Jady @ Zaidi Hassim, as well as senior officers of the Sarawak DUN.

This marks Nur Azhar’s reappointment, having first taken the oath of office as Sarawak DUN Secretary in 2024, succeeding Senator Pele Peter Tinggom.

The reappointment reflects continued confidence in his leadership, experience and commitment in carrying out the responsibilities of the role.

The ceremony also symbolises administrative continuity and the strengthening of the state’s legislative institution in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Sarawak DUN. -UKASnews
