KUCHING: The Aidilfitri visit of Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar together with his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, continued with a festive call to the residence of the Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, at Jalan Astana, Petra Jaya, on Tuesday.

The visit reflected the close relationship between the state institution and the Sarawak cabinet, in line with the spirit of unity that forms the foundation of harmony in the state’s diverse society.

Also accompanying him during the visit were Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi’s daughters, Sharifah Fariah and Sharifah Nong-Jasima, as well as the Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Project Coordinator of Regional Development Agencies, Kuching North City Commission and Islamic Affairs) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi as the accompanying Minister and his wife.

The visit took place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with the guests having the opportunity to socialise while enjoying various Aidilfitri dishes prepared by the host.

Meanwhile, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah also expressed their appreciation for the invitation and emphasised the importance of the Aidilfitri celebration as a platform to strengthen rapport and good relations between leaders and the people. -UKASnews
