Collaboration Between Alumni, PTAs & Schools Strengthens Excellence At SMK Three Rivers
MUKAH: The close consensus between alumni, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and the school continues to be a catalyst for efforts to strengthen excellence at SMK Three Rivers.
Tellian Assemblyman Royston Valentine stated that the solid cooperation of all parties can boost school performance across various fields.
According to him, this unit was also evident through the Aidilfitri Open House organised by the TRS Alumni Association, which was a lively event attended by school staff and students, alumni, and the PTA.
“This programme not only serves as a platform to strengthen ties , but also brings together former students to contribute to the school’s development,” he said while speaking at the event on Saturday.
As Patron of the TRS Alumni Association, he expressed his hope that such programmes could be continued in the future.
In an effort to support the implementation of the school’s annual activities, he also presented a Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant totalling RM30,000 to the school’s PTA.
Additionally, a total of RM10,000 has been allocated to the TRS Alumni Association for the implementation of alumni activities, while a further RM5,000 was channelled to the school’s Dance and Cultural Group through the Mukah Education Bureau.
Royston expressed his hope that the contribution would be utilised effectively for the benefit of the school community.
During the same event, a motivational talk titled ‘Life After School: Building a Direction and a Glorious Future’ was also held, delivered by speaker Amin Idris.
Also present were the Principal of SMK Three Rivers, Donny Dahlan, the Chairman of the TRS Alumni Association, Simon Joseph Usau, and the President of the SMK Three Rivers PTA, Mohammad Nazier Besiri. -UKASnews
