PADAWAN: The government's continuous commitment to strengthening rural development is further evidenced by the approval of nearly RM700,000 in development funds for Kampung Annah Sadir, aimed at enhancing basic facilities and the wellbeing of local residents.
Out of this total, RM200,000 has been allocated under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) to upgrade the infrastructure and facilities of the ‘GoodNews Fellowship’ Church in Kampung Annah Sadir.
An additional amount of nearly RM500,000 involves various public infrastructure development projects approved throughout 2025.
Sarawak Deputy Transport Minister (Aviation and Road) and Mambong Assemblyman Datuk Dr Jerip Susil said these allocations reflect the government’s concern for ensuring inclusive development that directly benefits the people, particularly in rural areas.
According to him, the implementation of these projects impacts not only Kampung Annah Sadir and Annah Rais but is also enjoyed by surrounding villages such as Kampung Simuti, Kampung Sibakar, and Kampung Sibuang.
He said this while attending the Easter Sunday Service and New Rice Blessing Ceremony at the ‘GoodNews Fellowship’ Church in Kampung Annah Sadir on Sunday.
Datuk Dr Jerip further announced that the road construction project from Tepoi to Sadir, costing RM250 million, has been approved. This is expected to be a major catalyst for socio-economic development and improved transport networks in the area.
He emphasised that the values of trust, unity, and community support are essential foundations for ensuring that every planned development effort can be successfully realised.
Also in attendance was the Administrative Officer in Charge of the Padawan Sub-District Office, Julius Scott Sapong. — UKASnews
