Sarawak Secretary Conducts Working Visit To Oversee Sarawakku Sayang Programme & Strategic Projects In Limbang
LIMBANG: A comprehensive monitoring and coordination approach continue to be reinforced to ensure the smooth execution of the Sarawakku Sayang Programme and strategic development projects in the Limbang Division, while delivering maximum impact to the people.
In this regard, Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki conducted a working visit to the Sarawakku Sayang Programme site at the Limbang Sports Complex before chairing the Limbang Division Sarawakku Sayang Programme Coordination Main Committee Meeting No. 2/2026 on Sunday.
The visit aimed to assess the level of preparedness for organising the programme, scheduled to take place from 10 to 12 April, while also ensuring that each plan is implemented according to the stipulated timeline and specifications.
The Limbang Division Sarawakku Sayang Programme is expected to feature various activities involving government agency booths, service counters, Limbang Kitchen and sales stalls, ‘Konsert Rakyat’, Sarawak Cultural Nights and sports activities targeting broad community participation.
The opening ceremony of the programme is expected to be officiated by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg on 11 April.
After the site visit, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar then chaired a coordination meeting which underscored the importance of strong commitment from all committees involved, as well as meticulous planning to ensure the successful organisation of the large-scale programme.
He also conducted working visits to several strategic development projects in Limbang, including the Rangau Valley Housing Project involving the construction of 128 units of double-storey semi-detached and terrace houses, as well as the Integrated Administrative Centre (IAC) Limbang Project.
He stressed that continuous monitoring is crucial to ensure that each development initiative delivers tangible benefits to the people, particularly in terms of quality infrastructure provision and the improvement of living standards of the local community.
Also present were Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Administration) Datu Felicia Tan Ya Hua, Sarawak Implementation Monitoring Unit (SIMU) Director Sapiah Daud, Sarawak Protocol, Ceremonial and Event Management Unit Director Datu Hamdan Sharbini, Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) Director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan and Limbang Division Resident Unus Tambi. -UKASnews
