SINGAPORE: The Sarawak Pavilion continued to gain strong momentum on the second day of the Food & Hospitality Asia (FHA) 2026 at Singapore Expo, with visitor numbers and business engagements recording a significant increase compared with the opening day.
The pavilion emerged as one of the main attractions among international buyers and distributors, especially for those exploring unique food and beverage products from Sarawak.
The atmosphere at the booth was notably more vibrant, with a rise in enquiries and preliminary discussions towards potential trade collaborations.
This positive development was largely driven by the close coordination of the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS), which ensured smooth pavilion operations while arranging business matching sessions in a more strategic manner.
A total of 19 local brands were showcased under the Sarawak Pavilion, covering various industry categories including processed food, beverages, premium agricultural produce as well as snacks and confectionery.
In the beverage category, Foodtake Industries Sdn Bhd featured instant drinks, while Leaves Food Industries Sdn Bhd presented one-litre packaged beverages and ready-to-drink canned products.
Dr Parveenss Global Sdn Bhd focused on tea-based beverages, including its distinctive midin vegetable tea, while Beverages Marketing (S) Sdn Bhd offered canned drinks and cordials.
Leyd Brewing Co also drew attention with its craft beer products aimed at niche markets.
For processed food and cooking ingredients, MUSC Food Industries Sdn Bhd highlighted food pastes, sauces and seasonings.
Pawada Food Industries Sdn Bhd showcased Sarawak pepper-based products such as sauces, powders and peppercorns, alongside canned food, with corned beef and black pepper sauce among its best-selling items.
Pepper-based offerings were further strengthened by Pepper Spice Sdn Bhd, Joeyees Trading Sdn Bhd and Sarawak Produces Industries Company, which displayed black and white pepper in various forms.
In the agricultural produce and premium raw materials category, Evergreen Eco Plantation Sdn Bhd introduced the Sarawak Gold SG1 pineapple together with downstream products, while East Asia Palm Products Sdn Bhd featured blended butter products.
Borneo Farming & Foods Sdn Bhd also showcased high-value products such as edible bird’s nest and ginger.
The premium products category was further enhanced by Borneo Stream Authentic, which promoted Empurau fish and wild-caught river fish, attracting attention through the size of the fish on display.
Meanwhile, the snacks and confectionery category featured 899 F&B Manufacturing Sdn Bhd with sacha inchi oil, kombucha and botanical drinks.
Stampin Confectionary Sdn Bhd brought premium cheese-based snacks, while Supreme Indah Sdn Bhd highlighted plant-based snacks and sambal.
Savextra Sdn Bhd highlighted biscuits and mooncakes, followed by Rosfaniaga Services Sdn Bhd which offered fish-based snacks.
Overall, the developments on the second day reflected the strong potential of Sarawak products to continue penetrating international markets, driven by the interest of buyers and distributors. -UKASnews
