Village Infrastructure In Kampung Sebenyis Strengthened, Public Well-being Prioritised
KUCHING: Urgent needs for basic infrastructure and public amenities in Kampung Sebenyis, Siburan continue to receive attention as residents’ voices are conveyed directly to the government through grassroots leadership.
The matter was highlighted during a courtesy visit by the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Sebenyis to the Deputy Minister for Transport Sarawak (Aviation and Road), Datuk Dr Jerip Susil, on Monday.
The visit, led by the Ketua Kaum together with members of the JKKK, not only served to strengthen ties but also acted as an important platform to raise real issues faced by the people, particularly those related to the improvement of basic facilities and efforts to enhance the socio-economic standing of the local community.
According to Datuk Dr Jerip, who is also Mambong Assemblyman, the role of the JKKK as a bridge between the government and the people is crucial in ensuring that needs at the grassroots level are properly identified and effectively addressed.
He responded positively to the matters raised and reaffirmed the government’s ongoing commitment to providing assistance and implementing development projects that have a direct impact on public well-being.
“We are always open to receiving the views and needs of the community. Close cooperation with the JKKK will facilitate more structured and comprehensive planning and implementation of development,” he said.
In a related development, he also received a courtesy call from representatives of AL Ain EMH Sdn Bhd in a separate session, reflecting the openness of his office in fostering collaboration with various parties to drive area development forward. -UKASnews
