SPM Incentive A Catalyst For Excellence Among Rural Students
BINTANGOR: The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) incentive awarded to high-achieving students is seen as an important catalyst in driving academic excellence, particularly among students from rural areas.
Meradong Assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, said that such recognition not only acknowledges students’ efforts, but also serves as a motivational boost for them to continue striving for success in the future.
“This achievement is not solely the result of the students’ own efforts, but is also driven by the strong support of parents, teachers and the school, all of whom remain committed to ensuring their success,” he said.
He made these remarks while officiating at the Simple Ceremony for the Presentation of the 2025 SPM Incentives at SMK Kai Chung here on Thursday.
A total of 51 students received incentives in recognition of their outstanding performance in the 2025 SPM examination.
At the same time, he reminded students not to become complacent with their achievements, but instead to continue striving to improve themselves in both their education and their lives.
“Make the best use of the incentives received as motivation to pursue your ambitions and achieve even greater success,” he added.
The ceremony not only celebrated the students’ achievements, but also inspired other students to work towards academic excellence.
Datuk Ding explained that initiatives such as this are hoped to continue in order to produce a generation that is knowledgeable, competitive, and capable of contributing to the development of society and the state. -UKASnews
