Meradong Assemblyman Continues To Listen To People’s Voice
The visits were led by the Meradong Assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, together with a delegation from the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Bintangor Branch.
Throughout the visits, he took the time to personally listen to issues and receive application letters from the village headmen (tuai rumah) and local residents.
According to him, the Pre-Gawai programme conducted every year is not merely a seasonal visit but reflects an ongoing commitment to engage with the people, particularly in longhouse areas.
“Every year we will go down to the ground; regardless of how far or near, or how long or short a longhouse is, we will still visit,” he said during his speech.
In the meantime, Datuk Ding emphasised that rural development will continue to be strengthened through various allocations such as the Rural Transformation Project (RTP), Minor Rural Project (MRP), Sarawak Poor House Improvement Programme (PPRMS), Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR), and the Rajang Delta Development Agency (RADDA). -UKASnews
