Higher Education & Research Among Focus Of Sarawak Governor's Meeting With Professor Dato Sri Dr Mike
KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi received a courtesy call from Professor Dato Sri Dr Mike K.S. Chan, alongside Datuk Colin Chai and a delegation, at their official residence in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
Professor Dato Sri Dr Mike is an internationally renowned scientist, researcher, and author, recognized as a pioneer in the fields of stem cell research, immunology, and bioregenerative medicine.
The meeting served as a platform to exchange views on developments in higher education, the importance of innovation, research, and knowledge transfer toward strengthening human capital development and societal progress.
In addition, both parties explored potential strategic cooperation capable of contributing to the development of education, research, and talent in Sarawak.
During the meeting, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi also emphasised the importance of continuous efforts in empowering a culture of knowledge, innovation, and research as catalysts for the future development of the state.
He, along with Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah, expressed their appreciation for the visit and hoped that the good relationship established would continue to be strengthened for the advancement of education, talent development, and the well-being of the people. — UKASnews
