RM900,000 Allocated To Empower Infrastructure, Tourism In Kampung Trombol
SANTUBONG: Kampung Trombol continues to receive a spillover of development through various infrastructure and public facility projects valued at a total of RM900,000 to strengthen its potential as a rural tourism destination and improve the well-being of local residents.
Federal Minister for Women, Family and Community Development Dato Sri Nancy Shukri said various development initiatives have been and are currently being implemented in the village to ensure that resident facilities are continuously enhanced while boosting the local tourism sector.
According to her, in 2025, a new construction project for the Kampung Trombol Rural Link Road worth RM500,000 was successfully executed, thereby improving access and connectivity networks for the residents.
“I would also like to inform that the project to upgrade the entrance road to Trombol Paradise Beach, which is used by residents and tourists, has received an approved allocation of RM350,000 under the Member of Parliament's Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for the year 2027 and will be implemented in the near future.
“In addition, the new construction of public toilets and bathrooms in the Trombol Paradise Beach tourism area worth RM100,000 has also been approved and will commence shortly,” she said.
She said this while speaking during the National Welfare Foundation (YKN) Local Social Support Centre (PSSS) Caring University Students Friend Program and Green Tour at Trombol Paradise Beach here on Sunday.
The Santubong Member of Parliament further added that the provision of more comfortable and complete basic facilities is highly important in supporting the growth of the local tourism sector as well as providing direct benefits to the local community.
She noted that the approved development investments reflect the government's continuous commitment to empowering Kampung Trombol into an area that is not only attractive in terms of tourism, but also possesses facilities and infrastructure capable of enhancing the residents' quality of life.
