KUCHING: The Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar conferred Sarawak State Honours on 149 recipients in an investiture ceremony held at the Astana Negeri Sarawak, on Tuesday.

Also attending the ceremony was his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.

The conferment began with the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K) which was awarded to 13 recipients, while the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B) was conferred to 21 recipients.

For the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S), a total of 10 individuals received the honour, followed by the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K) which was conferred to 24 recipients.

The Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T) was awarded upon 37 individuals, while the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S) was presented to 44 recipients.

Also present during the ceremony were Speaker of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee and Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development Datuk Ir Aidel Lariwoo. -UKASnews
