BINTANGOR: Every allocation channeled by the government needs to be managed transparently, prudently and fully utilised to ensure that the benefits are truly felt by the target group.
Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and UKAS) Datuk Abdullah Saidol said that the recipient of the allocation also must ensure that every activity carried out has a positive impact on the community, in addition to planning its implementation in an orderly and effective manner.
"Ensure that the allocations that are channeled reach the target group. Use the allocations correctly in line with the aims and objectives of the programme.
"In addition, every activity carried out should have a positive impact on the community. Plan all activities well and in order," he said.
He said this during a working visit to Bintangor, Loba Stabar and Mupong in the Semop constituency on Monday.
During the visit, the Semop Assemblyman also presented some allocations to implement development projects as well as support educational and community activities in the area.
Among the allocations presented were RM60,000 for the jetty construction project in Kampung Abang Amin Zone 2, RM66,000 for the ceiling renovation of Rumah Lily Awi, RM2,000 for Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Mupong Art Club and RM5,000 to ensure the success of the annual activities of SK Mupong Persatuan Ibu Bapa dan Guru (PIBG). -UKASnews
