CFM Delegation Pays Courtesy Call On Sarawak Premier
KUCHING: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg received a courtesy call from a delegation of the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) led by its Chairman Rev Dr Eu Hong Seng.
Speaking to reporters after the courtesy call at the Satria Pertiwi Complex on Tuesday, Rev Dr Eu described Sarawak as a model for fostering religious and racial harmony in Malaysia.
He also commended the Sarawak Premier's leadership in steering the state's development, which has positioned Sarawak among the country's high-income economies.
“The meeting was held in a warm and open atmosphere, with both sides exchanging views on Sarawak's development progress, the role of UNIFOR (Unit For Other Religions), current national developments and the role Sarawak can play in strengthening Malaysia's unity and stability,” he said.
He opined that Sarawak's success was the result of strong leadership and prudent resource management, enabling the state to sustain its progressive development and serve as an example for other states.
Among the dignitaries present were Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, CFM Vice-Chairman Bishop Datuk Danald Jute, CFM Assistant Honorary Treasurer Archbishop Dato Dr Simon Poh Hoon Seng and UNIFOR Director Dato Georgina Apphia Ngau. -UKASnews
