Agency Coordination Is Key To Comprehensive Development Of Tanjong Datu
LUNDU: Strong coordination between all implementing agencies continues to be a priority of the Sarawak Government to ensure that every development project in Tanjong Datu is able to be implemented according to schedule, meet the needs of the people and have an optimal impact on the local community.
Tanjong Datu Assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan said that development cannot be carried out in isolation, but instead requires comprehensive planning and close cooperation between all parties to ensure that each planned initiative runs smoothly and achieves its objectives.
According to him, various funding sources such as the Rural Transformation Project (RTP), Malaysia Plan, Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) as well as state development funds need to be utilised strategically so that project implementation can be coordinated more effectively, thereby accelerating the provision of basic infrastructure and facilities to the community.
He said this while chairing the Tanjong Datu N3 Development Randau - Sampadi Zone Programme which took place in Kampung Sampadi, on Wednesday.
Azizul added that the government's current priority is to ensure that basic development including water supply, roads, utilities and public facilities continue to be improved before expanding the development agenda capable of stimulating economic growth and the tourism sector in Tanjong Datu.
The development approach also strengthens communication between leaders, district administration and implementing agencies, thereby enabling issues and challenges at the grassroots level to be identified and dealt with in a more integrated way to ensure that every project implemented truly benefits the people. -UKASnews
