Full Rehearsal Runs Smoothly As PBB Betong Zone Finalises Preparations Ahead Of Special Convention
BETONG: Preparations for the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Sarawak Betong Zone Special Convention entered their final phase as a full rehearsal ran smoothly at the Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan Sports Hall on Thursday.
The rehearsal was held with Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, in attendance, as he personally inspected the final preparations to ensure a smooth-running convention that will bring together PBB leadership and members from the Betong Zone.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam, Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, Betong Member of Parliament Dato Dr Richard Rapu, Beting Maro Assemblyman Dato Razaili Gapor, Kalaka Assemblyman Mohamad Duri, Lingga Assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, and Kabong Assemblyman Dato Mohd Chee Kadir.
The full rehearsal covered the overall coordination of the event's proceedings, including protocol, programme sequence, audio-visual systems, performances and technical aspects, to ensure every segment runs in an orderly manner and according to plan.
About 350 participants — comprising members of the organising committee, event staff and volunteers — took part in the rehearsal as final preparation ahead of the convention.
Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, is scheduled to attend on Saturday for the official opening of the special convention. -UKASnews
