SARIKEI: Members of the public from across Sarawak are invited to enliven the Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) 2026 Programme in the Sarikei Division, which is expected to feature a variety of exciting activities and its own unique appeal, thanks to meticulous planning by the organising committee.

Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment and Kuala Rajang Assemblyman, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, stated that overall preparations presented during the final coordination meeting showed a highly encouraging level of readiness.

According to him, close cooperation among all involved ministries, departments, and agencies has allowed every aspect of the organisation to be refined to ensure the large-scale program runs smoothly.

“As the elected representative of this area, I express my appreciation to the Sarawak Government and the organizing committee for their high commitment in ensuring all preparations proceed according to plan.

“I am confident visitors will witness firsthand the uniqueness that Sarikei Division will showcase through its organization concept, site layout, and the various activities planned,” he said.

He said this to media officers during a press conference regarding the SKS 2026 Sarikei Division at the Sarikei Sports Complex, here on Monday.

He added that each involved agency continues to play its respective role to ensure all facilities and program activities are provided as effectively as possible for the comfort of visitors.

In this regard, he urged the public from Sarikei and nearby areas, including Sibu, Mukah, Betong, Kapit, Tanjung Manis, and other divisions, to attend together to enliven the program.

He said that besides enjoying the various activities provided, the public will also have the opportunity to hear an address from the Premier of Sarawak and experience firsthand the vibrancy of the Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme, set to be among the largest events in Sarikei Division this year. — UKASnews
