KUCHING: The book Mawar Astana Mekar di Jiwa, which chronicles the life journey, sacrifices, and contributions of Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, was launched during a ceremony in the Dining Hall of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Building on Monday.
The launching ceremony was officiated through a symbolic palm scan on a special device by the Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah.
The event was further enlivened by an opening performance by the Sarawak P. Ramlee Fan Club, accompanied by The Prodigy All Women Orchestra under the direction of Sharnaz Saberi, alongside featured performances by Chien Ng, Firdaus Materang, and Claudia Geres.
Also held were a special video screening titled Kita Masih Berjalan and a poetry recital of A Rose in My Life Garden, written by Sharifah Nong Jasima Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi.
The atmosphere of the ceremony was also highlighted by an angklung performance by Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Agama Datuk Haji Abdul Kadir Hassan Kuching, a dance performance by Karya Terindah Performing Arts, as well as a special song titled Mawar Astana, composed by Sharnaz Saberi and performed by Chien Ng.
Appreciation for the work continued through a special video screening titled Kita Masih Berjalan and a poetry recital of A Rose in My Life Garden, written by Sharifah Nong Jasima Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi.
The publication of the Mawar Astana Mekar di Jiwa book serves as a documentation of values, heritage, and the life story of Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah spanning her roles as a wife, mother, and prominent female figure.
The story also reveals strength, gentleness, and fortitude of spirit in navigating every phase of life, thereby standing as a source of inspiration that will continue to be remembered by future generations.
In addition to the printed version, Mawar Astana Mekar di Jiwa was also introduced as an interactive e-book equipped with audio functionality as well as page and chapter navigation.
The e-book can be accessed via smartphones, tablets, and computers, offering readers the option to enjoy the publication's content digitally.
Also present during the ceremony were Sarawak DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar and Deputy Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Rosey Yunus, alongside other dignitaries. — UKASnews
