KUCHING: The Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, received a courtesy visit from a delegation of the University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) at Astana Negeri Sarawak on Wednesday.

The visit, led by UTS Vice-Chancellor Ir Ts Prof Dr Mohammad Shahril Osman, was aimed, among other things, at inviting Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi, in his capacity as UTS Chancellor, to officiate the 11th UTS Convocation Ceremony, scheduled to be held at the Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud Chancellor Hall on 14 and 15 November.

According to Dr Mohammad Shahril, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi, who is the UTS Chancellor, is scheduled to attend the first day of the convocation ceremony on 14 November.

In addition, the visit also served as an opportunity for him to introduce himself to the Sarawak Governor, following his appointment as UTS's third Vice-Chancellor on 1 July.

The visit was also intended to update Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi on the latest developments at UTS. -UKASnews
