The Sarawak Science Centre, also known as the Sarawak Science Centre Interactive Experience, is the first large-scale interactive science centre in Sarawak.
The centre was developed to strengthen public interest in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through an interactive and experience-based learning approach.
The first phase of the centre is now open to the public, covering the Ground Floor and Level 1, featuring various interactive zones including an animatronic dinosaur gallery, physics and earth science exhibits, water play and a mirror maze.
Once fully completed, SSCiEX is planned to house 22 themed galleries and more than 400 interactive exhibits, making it one of the key facilities in strengthening STEM education in Sarawak in line with the aspirations of the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030). -UKASnews
