KUCHING: Preparations for the Malaysia Day 2026 celebration at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) are in full swing following the smooth running of a rehearsal on Sunday.
The rehearsal involved various parties including technical and security teams as well as performers to ensure every aspect of the celebration scheduled for 16 September is carried out in an orderly manner.
Sarawak Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts and Minister Responsible for the Malaysia Day 2026 Celebration Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah was also present to observe the rehearsal.
Throughout the rehearsal, event coordination, protocol arrangements and stage performances were closely reviewed to ensure the smooth running of the celebration.
The successful rehearsal also reflected the level of preparedness among all parties involved in organising the event.
The Malaysia Day 2026 celebration is scheduled to feature a range of programmes showcasing Malaysia’s spirit of unity and cultural diversity. -UKASnews
