SKS Mukah Brings Sarawak Government Initiatives Closer To The People
MUKAH: Various Sarawak Government initiatives in the areas of welfare and education were presented to recipients in conjunction with the Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) Programme 2026 for Mukah Division on Saturday.
The initiatives include the Sarawak Basic Needs Contribution (SKAS), the Free Tertiary Education Scheme (FTES) and the Yayasan Sarawak International Scholarship and Study Loan (YSISS).
For SKAS, 10 recipients received the aid symbolically, comprising two senior citizens, five households and three single individuals.
Meanwhile, 10 FTES recipients pursuing their studies at higher learning institutions, including Universiti Teknologi Sarawak (UTS), i-CATS University College and Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, also received symbolic presentations.
In addition, 23 students benefited from YSISS, with 10 of them present to receive the presentation at the programme.
All the symbolic presentations were made by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg.
The initiatives reflect the Sarawak Government's commitment to strengthening the well-being of the people, widening access to education and developing human capital for the future. -UKASnews
