Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Attends Closing Ceremony Of Sarawak Zone Ijtimak 2026
KUCHING: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar attended the Closing Ceremony of the Sarawak Zone Ijtimak 2026 at the Kuching Tabligh Markaz, Surau Darul Muttaqin at Jalan Depo Link here on Sunday.
Upon his arrival, he was received by President of the Sarawak Islamic Council Datuk Misnu Taha, Sarawak Mufti Datu Khalidi Ibrahim, alongside Syura Member of the Malaysian Dakwah Jamaat Maulana Abdul Hamid Chin.
During the ceremony, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi listened to the Bayan Hidayat delivered by Amir Syura of the Malaysian Dakwah Jamaat, Abdullah Chong, which highlighted the importance of strengthening faith, righteous deeds, and dakwah efforts, as well as fulfilling the responsibilities of Muslims in daily life.
The three-day ijtimak, held from 2 to 4 October, gathered approximately 6,000 congregants from various regions to participate in religious teachings, tazkirah, congregational prayers, and religious activities.
The closing ceremony concluded with a prayer recitation as an expression of gratitude for the smooth organisation of the Sarawak Zone Ijtimak 2026.
Also present were Deputy Grand Imam of Sarawak Mohamad Ihsan Haidzir, Deputy Director (Operations) of the Sarawak Islamic Religious Department Wan Shaifuddin Wan Madihi, and Chief Executive Officer of the Darul Hana Quranic of Centre Sarawak Islamic Council Mohamad Shalahudin Marzuki. — UKASnews
