STIU Strengthens Quality Management Practices Through MS ISO 9001:2015 Workshop
BINTULU: The Sarawak Transformation and Innovation Unit (STIU), under the Department of the Premier of Sarawak, continues to enhance the state’s culture of quality management through the MS ISO 9001:2015 Quality Procedure Development Workshop (Series 2) held from 5 to 7 November 2025.
In a statement on Friday, it said a total of 35 officers from various units under the Department of the Premier of Sarawak (JPS) participated in the three-day programme, which was organised in collaboration with SIRIM Academy Sdn. Bhd.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) across departments by providing comprehensive guidance on developing quality procedures aligned with the requirements of the MS ISO 9001:2015 standard.
The statement added that these procedures cover key aspects of governance, operations, and support functions to ensure consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the public service delivery framework.
Focusing on the strategic functions of each participating unit, the workshop served as a proactive step toward ensuring that work procedures remain relevant, responsive to current changes, and compliant with existing guidelines and regulations.
This initiative highlights STIU’s ongoing commitment to fostering a robust quality culture and advancing international-standard management practices, in support of an efficient, effective, and people-centered public service ecosystem in Sarawak. -UKASnews
