Collaboration With OSEIC Aligns With Ministry Efforts
KUCHING: Private sector collaborations, such as the one between Waterfront Hotel and the One-Stop Early Intervention Centre (OSEIC) Sarawak, aligns with the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Sarawak's commitment to strengthen early childhood development and inclusive support systems.
According to its Minister, Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah, this is in line with the State Government’s ongoing efforts to ensure that no group is left behind, particularly in enhancing early childhood education, family wellbeing, and community-based support initiatives.
“OSEIC Sarawak was established by the Sarawak Government to provide early intervention and therapy services for children with developmental delays and special needs, all under one roof,” she said in the speech.
Her text of speech was read by by Head of the Early Childhood Development Division of the Ministry, Salina Bujang.
Dato Sri Fatimah commended the Waterfront Hotel team for stepping forward as private-sector partners who contribute positively to social development through initiatives rooted in compassion and community engagement.
The Waterfront Hotel celebrated the spirit of Christmas and the upcoming New Year through a festive buffet dinner sneak peek and appreciation night on Monday, bringing together partners, media representatives, and community stakeholders in an evening centred on unity, gratitude, and community wellbeing.
Salina conveyed Dato Sri Fatimah’s appreciation to the Waterfront Hotel for hosting an event that reflects “the warmth of the festive season, the kindness and generosity of people and organisations who care about the well-being of our community.”
She acknowledged the children’s performance from OSEIC Sarawak, describing it as a meaningful example of inclusivity and the importance of providing supportive environments for all young learners to shine.
The Minister’s message concluded with festive wishes to all attendees and a reminder to carry the spirit of unity, generosity, and inclusion into the New Year. -UKASnews
