Children’s Day Underscores The Role Of Young Generation As Nation’s Future Asset
SERIAN: Children’s Day is regarded as an important platform to acknowledge the role of the younger generation as a vital asset to the nation’s future, while also reminding the community of its shared responsibility in guiding them towards a brighter path.
Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development, who is also the Kedup Assemblyman, Datuk Martin Ben, emphasised the importance of parental awareness in monitoring their children’s behaviour, particularly in light of the rise in social issues in today’s modern and borderless world.
“Parents carry a tremendous responsibility. No matter how busy we are, we must always remain attentive to our children's movements, interactions, and overall development.
“This is essential to ensure they grow into individuals who are not only well-rounded but contribute positively to their faith, community, and country,” he said during the Serian Division Children’s Day Celebration 2025 at SK Krangan on Saturday.
A variety of engaging activities were organised to enliven the celebration, including a healthy exercise session, a Ketupat Weaving Competition, a Children’s Colouring Contest, indoor games through dedicated booths, as well as telematches that encouraged active participation from children and the surrounding community. -UKASnews
