KUCHING: The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, graced the Medan Niaga Satok Carnival 2025 on Sunday.

During the main highlight of the carnival, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah showcased three special dishes of her own creation through a live cooking demonstration, featuring sardines, chicken soup and stir-fried midin.

She also shared the ingredients and preparation techniques to encourage visitors to try the traditional Sarawak dishes at home.

Following the showcase, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah and Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi took time to visit several booths and exhibitions, while interacting with local entrepreneurs as a show of support for the development of the state’s agri-food industry.

Also present were the Treasurer-General of Sarawak Badan Amal Tenaga Isteri Menteri (SABATI), Datin Siti Shorgayah Ahmad Zaidin, FAMA Director-General Abdul Rashid Bahri and his wife, Chairperson of Puspanita and the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), Salina Nawi, Sarawak FAMA Director Norsalawaty Abdul Kadir, and other guests.

For the record, the Medan Niaga Satok Carnival runs from 28 to 30 November 2025. -UKASnews
