St Teresa Avila Church Receives RM300,000 GKCDA Allocation
BAU: St Teresa Avila Church in Kampung Stenggang has received an allocation of RM300,000 under the Greater Kuching Development Coordination Agency (GKCDA) to implement improvement works.
These works mainly involved the repair of the old roof which was found to be leaking at the back of the building.
This announcement was made by Opar Assemblyman Billy Sujang when speaking in conjunction with the St Teresa Avila Church Appreciation Night and Christmas Buffet Dinner held at the SK St Teresa Stenggang Hall, here, on Monday.
Speaking at the event, he stressed his commitment to continue supporting community development efforts in his constituency.
"This includes aspects of welfare, education and inter-religious harmony through close cooperation between the church, community leadership and elected representatives," he said.
Billy stressed that a church is not just constructed from physical structures alone, but instead also based on faith, loyalty and a spirit of service.
He said that the progress achieved by St Teresa Avila Church is the result of collective efforts from various parties, including behind-the-scenes work, time and energy spent, and continuous prayers.
Therefore, he also prayed that St Teresa Avila Church would continue to be blessed, its leadership would be given wisdom and strength, and that the entire community would always live in an atmosphere of peace, love, and unity. -UKASnews
