SIBU: The Christmas contribution programme organised by the Nangka Service Centre continued to bring festive cheer and community warmth to residents of Kampung Nangka on Monday.

The programme was graced by Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development and Nangka Assemblyman Datuk Dr Annuar Rapa’ee who personally presented the contributions to recipients during the event held along Jalan Kampung Nangka.

Held annually, the initiative aims to ease the financial burden of residents celebrating Christmas, particularly senior citizens, while fostering closer ties, a sense of shared responsibility and harmony among the local community in the Nangka constituency.

A total of 60 recipients received assistance in the form of cash contributions and festive hampers, reflecting the continued commitment of the service centre to support the welfare of grassroots communities.

Beyond the distribution of aid, Datuk Dr Annuar also took the opportunity to mingle with residents, inquire about their well-being and share light refreshments with recipients and their families in a warm and relaxed setting.

The programme served as a meaningful platform to strengthen bonds and solidarity among Kampung Nangka residents, with recipients expressing gratitude and appreciation for the consistent care and attention shown by their elected representative.
