Datus United FC President Emphasises Discipline, Teamwork & Championship Targets
SRI AMAN: High discipline, strong teamwork and clear championship targets must be the main focus for Datus United FC as the team prepares for the Petronas Youth Football Championship League 2025, scheduled to take place in Kuching next week.
Its president, Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan, said success in the prestigious tournament does not depend solely on individual players’ skills, but also requires collective commitment from every member of the team, including the coaching staff and management.
“Discipline on and off the pitch, a strong team spirit and focus on the targets that have been set are the key elements in achieving commendable results.
“I want all players to perform as one team and to carry the name of Datus United FC with a strong sense of responsibility,” he said during a symbolic team armband handover ceremony on Friday.
He also expressed hope that the tournament would serve as a valuable platform to improve performance, build confidence and cultivate a winning mentality among the young players.
According to him, thorough preparation and a high fighting spirit are expected to enable the team to provide strong competition in the prestigious championship.
Meanwhile, Sri Aman Division Resident, Mahra Salleh, was also present to join the team for a photo session and the symbolic armband handover ceremony, as a show of support and moral encouragement for the players who will be competing.
He reminded the players to always uphold the good name of Sri Aman and the team throughout the tournament by prioritising discipline, sportsmanship and professionalism both on and off the pitch.
“Every player carries the name of Sri Aman and the team, so play with full commitment, maintain discipline and display your best performance.
