KUCHING: A formal handing-over ceremony for the post of Director of the Sarawak Economic Planning Unit (EPU) was held at Wisma Bapa Malaysia on Tuesday, marking the official transition of leadership from Datu Lester Matthew to Datu Ir. Awg Mohd Fadillah Awg Redzuan.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Economic Planning and Development), Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel.

In his remarks, Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah acknowledged the significant contributions of Datu Lester Matthew in strengthening strategic planning, policy coordination and development initiatives under EPU Sarawak.

He commended Datu Lester for upholding a high standard of integrity and professionalism throughout his tenure.

He also welcomed Datu Ir. Awg Mohd Fadillah to EPU Sarawak, expressing confidence in his ability to provide strong leadership and to further advance the state’s economic agenda in line with the aspirations of the Right Honourable Premier of Sarawak.

In his address, Datu Lester conveyed his appreciation to Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah for the continuous support extended to him during his service.

He also thanked his colleagues at EPU Sarawak for their cooperation, dedication and commitment.

Meanwhile, Datu Ir. Awg Mohd Fadillah expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to leading EPU Sarawak with integrity and professionalism.
